This is the first time GGSIPU has started these 3 B.Tech courses based on the IT industry requirements. All these Programmes require specialised faculty, experts from the industry, strong industry connections, and state-of-the-art laboratories, which VSE&T fulfils. To achieve this, VSE&T has created an excellent infrastructure, including a CISCO network, 11th generation Dell systems with i7 intel core processors, state-of-the-art laboratories, smart classrooms, and a library with well-stocked  books and journals. All the faculty members hold Ph.D. in AI, ML, and IoT fields. The faculty members at VSE&T firmly believe in creating an ecosystem that would enable students to formulate the most effective technologies for making significant contributions to the sustainable development of the world. The faculties at VSE&T are devoted to our pursuit of academic excellence on all fronts. They also follow innovative teaching pedagogies to enhance student’s learning experience by focusing on experiential learning and hands-on experience. VCE&T aspires to build a strong talent pool for these emerging areas. We wish to empower and up-skill the next generation of youths with AI, ML, Data Analytics, and IIoT skills.

B.Tech – CSE and B.Tech – AI and ML both are regular and full-time programmes. B.Tech AI and ML is a 4-year undergraduate programme with many specialised courses in these areas in addition to the core computer science courses. AI & ML courses focus on developing algorithms that make intelligent decisions and predict outcomes. 

This programme develops the skills for creating solutions integrated with analytical information and ensures approximately 100% accuracy in the output. The Government of India has appointed a task force to boost the AI sector in India. To assemble this team, we focus on developing AI technologies in ten different sectors.

AI enables machines to mimic human behaviour. It is mostly concerned with understanding the theory and development of computer systems capable of performing various tasks which otherwise require human intelligence. For instance, visual perception, decision-making, speech recognition, and language translation.

An Artificial Intelligence engineer works with different algorithms, neural networks, and other tools to advance the field of artificial intelligence. These professionals usually work on different types of artificial intelligence use cases, in different industries, for example:

  • Healthcare
  • Retail
  • Agriculture
  • Manufacturing

 

An Artificial Intelligence engineer works on AI glitches or technologies. Engineers may also choose between projects connecting weak or strong artificial intelligence.

The AI revolution has just begun. It is expected to penetrate almost all the areas of our lives as the Internet has done in past years. 

It is being said – “AI is going to change the world more than anything in the history of mankind. More than electricity.” AI is going to power medicine, robotics, engineering, space, military activities, and marketing largely.

The fee structure for B.Tech Programmes at VCOE to VSE&T is yet to be notified by the GGSIP University. However, the fee structure for these Artificial Intelligence Programmes will tentatively be around ₹1,36,000/- per annum as notified by the University for University School of Automation & Robotics of East Delhi Campus vide notification no. 1104 dated 23/09/2021.

We have introduced B.Tech this year only, but the Vivekananda School of Information Technology has been successfully running courses of BCA and MCA for more than a decade and has strong Industry connections. The average CTC for these programmes is 5 Lac PA, however, exemplary students have elevated the bar at the CTC to 10 Lac PA.

VSE&T has a very strong industry connection. Under the Aegis of VSE&T, the already existing School of Information Technology comprising BCA and MCA has a very good placement record and tie-ups with more than 300 IT companies and MNCs like Wipro, Vedantu, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Nagarro, NIT Technologies, Infosys, TCS, and many more. At VSE&T College of Engineering, it is a continuous process to build up new industry connections and strengthen relationships with existing companies.

We ensure a real-time hands-on experience for B.Tech students by registering students in various National and International industrial internship programmes as specified by the GGSIPU norms.

VSE&T has initiated 4-year undergraduate B.Tech programmes from this year. These are –

Vivekananda College of Professional Studies (VIPS) is now known by the name VSE&T after the establishment of an Engineering and Technology College under its flagship. VSE&T is a reputed College situated in Pitampura, New Delhi, India. It is a private college affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), established in 1997 by Dr. S. C. Vats – an educationalist and a great philanthropist. VIPS is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an “A” grade.

B.Tech programme can only be applied for NBA when at least two batches of students have graduated from the programme.

The college is centrally air-conditioned and provides state-of-art facilities to students that can help them in excelling in their respective fields.

The VSE&T is the only college under GGSIPU to be fully networked with high-end intelligent CISCO switches secured with firewalls through a 250 Mbps dedicated leased line for the wired LAN & Wi-Fi connectivity.

At the VC&T computer centre, most systems are highly advanced. 100 Dell systems equipped with 11th generation intel i7 core processors, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD HD systems. In addition, another 500 computer systems are available in the College.

The closest metro stations are Pitampura (2.5 Km) and Haiderpur Badli (1.4 Km).

The hostel is not available on the campus premises. However, the competent authority can help in getting appropriate accommodation around the campus.

Yes, Indoor and outdoor sports facilities are available for the students.

Yes, the college has tie-ups with nearby hospitals. Also, doctors-on-call are available. A fully equipped medical room with Doctors and paramedic staff is available within working hours.

VSE&T Digital cafeteria is operational inside the campus. Moreover, CCD and Nescafé kiosks are available on the campus.

The Industrial Internet of Things will drive new consumer and business behaviour that will demand increasingly intelligent industry solutions, which, in turn, will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for the IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IIoT. The number of Internet-connected devices (12.5 billion) surpassed the number of human beings (7 billion) on the planet in 2011, and by 2020, Internet-connected devices are expected to number between 26 billion and 50 billion globally. Also, Bain & Company estimates the IIoT to have a $200B market potential by 2021.
